The Regional Municipality of York (York Region) is undertaking a Class Environmental Assessment (EA) and preliminary design study to establish appropriate vehicular access to and from Highway 400 and Highway 7 for the Vaughan Corporate Centre (VCC) development. The study is being undertaken in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2000) process for a Schedule 'C' project. The Class EA includes public and review agency consultation, evaluation of alternatives, assessment of potential effects on the environment, and identification of reasonable measures to mitigate any adverse effects.

Opportunities to provide input to the planning and design process is provided throughout the project, including a minimum of two Public Consultation Centres (PCCs).
