About Smart Commute NTV
|
Smart Commute - North Toronto, Vaughan (NTV) was the first TMA in Ontario, established in 2001. Our award-winning non-profit organization is a public-private partnership that endeavours to find alternatives to single occupancy vehicle trips and raise awareness of “Smart Commuting”.
Members and partners include representatives from local businesses, regional, municipal and federal governments, local transit agencies and NGOs. Together, we advocate for sustainable transportation, reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality and implement employee trip reduction (ETR) programs.
Some of our members and partners include Transport Canada, York Region, City of Vaughan, City of Toronto, York University, ING DIRECT, sanofi pasteur, Enbridge, Universal Workers Union Local 183, Parc Downsview Park Inc., Environment Canada Toronto, TRCA and Dillon Consulting.
Smart Commute NTV is part of a larger network of Transportation Management Associations (TMAs) across the GTAH. The Smart Commute Association (SCA) is the ‘umbrella’ organization networking between regional TMAs. |
